When alt-country comes together with the production prowess of Eric Drew Feldman (PJ Harvey, Polyphonic Spree, Frank Black), lyrics with a twist, and a voice with a southwest twang, you're left with Yerkey's newest CD. Leaving his West Virginia home at 14, Stephen cut his musical teeth with a traveling carnival. He eventually landed in the Bay Area where he self-released two albums. His time spent creating the new record was split between the studio and his day job at a juvenile correction facility. Stephen's music is as colorful and different as his history, and 'Metaneonatureboy' is sure to make its mark as one of the most unique releases of 2006.
